This past weekend was PMX! I've been attending PMX for a few years now, and I always meet a cool group of people.

Now, PMX is a small anime con, not like the bigger well known cons in LA, but, it's still really fun! At smaller cons, you actually get to meet people and talk to them, rather than just pass by them and wave or something.

Cons tend to grow, so, when you find a small gem, enjoy it while it lasts!

Con-Goers - Awesome Week

Well, this week was an awesome week! No, I'm not talking about the elections, so, if you're for or against whomever ran for whatever, I'm sorry, but, this isn't a political comic, it's a comic for GEEKS and OTAKU!

The week started with a small rumor of Disney in talks to purchase another company, a toy company. A small little toy company called Hasbro! YES! Just the thought of Disney's power with Hasbro's characters, omg, I was so happy!

The other news was the confirmation that Harrison Ford WANTS to be in the next Star Wars! O_O THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!!!!! Han Solo, back on the Silver Screen in the Star Wars universe was such a happy moment!

Con-Goers - I'm Gonna Wreck It!!!

OMG... I've been totally brain farting all weekend, trying to figure out what to write about for today's Con-Goers.... BUT, thanks to my friend, Kris, I was saved! :D

I saw Disney's Wreck It Ralph, over the weekend, and was just so in awe of it. I went in thinking that it would be super cheesy and only having a little bit of video game references... but... whoa... like, whomever was in charge of this, done it some right! It was real and you felt the creators' love for video games in this film as if to be like a love letter to video games!

I decided to watch the presidential debate last night... oh boy... This really seemed like a couple guys lying to try to secure a vote from the American public. It's great that they say that they want to help our economy, but, let's be honest, neither of them can do it... To me, it felt like empty promises or lies.... Is that what this country needs right now? No. Unfortunately, those are our choices. Both are bad for us, and for our country's future.

Go out and vote... it won't make a difference.

Today is Yaoi Con! It moved to So Cali this year, so a bunch of people from my anime clubs are going. Mostly, the fujoshi interested in BL. What's interesting is that this con is usually held during Halloween. I feel that it's unfortunate that it isn't being held during that time...

What I keep hearing about, with Yaoi Con, is all the crazy hotel parties! OMG! Sounds like fun! XD I'll be around the area today, and try to hit it up, but, I should be there on Saturday, hanging out with some of my hooligans!

As a lot of you know, one of the animes that brought me to be otaku was Naruto. There were other before this, but Naruto was the one that pushed it over.  But... I'm not gonna talk about Naruto... I'mma talk about RAMEN!!!

One of my most favorite foods is Ramen. Not instant ramen, like Cup O Noodle, Maruchan or Nong Shim... I'm talking about the straight up RAMEN from ramen shops like Yamadaya, Kohryu, Shin Sen Gumi, etc. I LOVE RAMEN!! My first time experiencing ramen was with my late Grandfather, where he brought me to a little shop. He was like, "Boy, sometimes your Lolo needs noodles. I'm going to take you to a noodle shop because Lolo is hungry." I was still little, at the time, but that stuck in my head. I didn't know, back then, that that was ramen. I just knew it was awesome. When I moved to So Cali, some of my college friends took me to various ramen shops, and, immediately, I was like, "THIS IS IT!!!" So, like, now, every week, I have to have ramen. If it's good, then my week is good. If it's bad, then my week sucks lol... GO GET SOME RAMEN TANOW!!!

Con-Goers - You Shall Not Pass

Sickness sucks... Anyway, won't be talking about being sick or infecting kids while going to the Magical Kingdom while sick, infecting everyone visiting... but... instead, we're gonna talk about something that has been missing from our theaters... Lord of the Rings... or, The Hobbit... I was really excited to hear that they were finally making this, saw some of the stuff at San Diego Comic-Con this year, but, what excited me was that Peter Jackson changed it from 2 movies to 3... Whoa... that's pretty big! Well... ok, that wasn't what really excited me, I would say it was the return of Galadriel (OMG, so hot...) but, to be honest, I think it's just the fact that magic and fantasy and adventure is coming back on the big screen. I dunno, I guess I just miss that... I mean, I haven't been too excited about going to the movies, even missed out on Bat3 just, cos, I didn't feel like going out... But yeah, totally excited now!
