POST-CON DEPRESSION....
Well... for me, it hit pretty hard after Animegacon... I had such a great time there, that it was painful coming back... Although, there was some cool events, in the LA area, I'm still feeling the blunt of PCD...
It's just that, I feel so happy among the large crowds, crowded dealer halls, and busy artist alleys... plus, it just feels much better hanging with all my otaku peeps... I know a lot of you feel the same way... luckily... in Cali, Cons happen frequently! I can't wait for the upcoming hijinx!!! Comikaze, PMX... HERE I COME!!!

Con-Goers - Start A New Semester

And, with the end of Summer, brings the end of Con Season... aww.... unless you're like me, and live in California where there's a convention like every month... lol...

Con-Goers - A Cosplayer Interrupted

OK, yes, I'm still talking about Animegacon, cos, well, I had an awesome time there! VAMPY!!! OMG! I got to take a pic with the great VampyBitMe! It always amazes me at the creativity and attention to detail that a lot of the cosplayers put into their costumes. Along with the cosplayers are the photogs that take pics of them. The combination, of photog and cosplayer, creates a work of art that can be enjoyed throughout the net on photo blogs or photo galleries.
Today's comic, actually, is kinda how I felt, when I asked to take a pic with Vampy... lol I was sitting at my booth, saw her, and interrupted her mini shoot! lol... geez, Ryan... geez!

Taking pics, of cosplayers, is like collecting Pokemon, some common, and some, super rare! In my case, I spotted Vampy, the super cute, super awesome cosplayer, at Animegacon, in Las Vegas. I've taken pics of her before, but, never with her... I finally got the chance! Yay!

Con-Goers - Oppai Gundam Style

HEEYYYYYYYYYYYYY SEXAY LADAYYY!!!

Op... opp... lol One of the most catchy songs this summer is Psy's "Gangnam Style", a Korean Pop song that went viral for its hilariousness and hypnotically catchy chorus... Did I mention that it's catchy??? The song is so popular that it even played during a Dodger's baseball game! The dance, which mimics a guy riding a horse, is just soooo funny and easy to do that anyone can do it. I compare the song's catchiness to that of the Macarena or something from Ricky Martin, back in the day, but, Gangnam Style, for me, personally, made it onto my Con-Song Playlist! LOL
This past weekend, at Las Vegas's Animegacon, PMX had a booth across from me and played it soooo much... BUT, it was ok, cos, I never got tired of it! The reason probably being, is that their cute booth girls were dancing to it! HOW CAN I GET TIRED OF THAT??? lol

Con-Goers - Post Party-Con Comfort Shimapan

We're back, from Animegacon in Las Vegas! It was its first year, and, for a first year, it was pretty fun! We met a bunch of cool people and even got some autographs during our little breaks from manning the Artist booths!
All in all, a fun time!... just... soooooo incredibly full... lol... freakin buffets......

SHIMAPAN! OH MY!!! lol Nothing I love more than seeing a girl in shimapan! lol ok... ok...

But seriously... shimapan, or any cute girl's panties, makes for a great hat (or face mask)! It holds your hair back and is quite stylish! :D I might be wearing a nice pair as a hat during Animegacon! I'll try my best to make it a new fashion statement! :D

The "breathing in deep" section actually came about in a conversation with one of my friends during dinner at Anime-Expo.

It's shark week! That's why there is a lot of blood in the Con-Goers strips this week! lol

ANIMEGACON is also kicking off this week in Las Vegas, Nevada! I'll be headed over there Thursday night and I'll be in the Artist Alley all weekend! WOO!!! Taking the train to a con is something that makes your con experience a different, yet memorable one. You don't really have to worry about driving, or anything, just relax on the train and converse with your fellow otaku friends! If you ever get the chance, I recommend it!

So, yes... I too was seduced by Psy's "Gangnam Style" music video... That song is BEGGING to become an AMV or Anime Con Cosplay Video... Just watching that video, in all its silliness, puts a smile on my face! To me, it represents 2012's Summer, like this summer's theme song, if you will, and I'm just entirely amazed at how popular it has become! So... Op, op, op! LOL

One of my friends inspired this strip (and the next one) and, I couldn't stop laughing at this idea, that I had to draw it! LOL

Animegacon, the Anime Convention in Las Vegas, although not that far away from LA (Like 4 hours), still has a bad rep as "Sin-City" and has a hard time attracting attendees. I talked with the group, during Fanime, and they seem like a cool bunch of people! I wish them the best of luck, and will be there!
